Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

By using Chaser (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users including freelancers, sole traders, and small businesses.

1. What Chaser does

Chaser sends automated email follow-ups on your behalf to clients with overdue invoices. You are responsible for the accuracy of the invoice information you provide and for ensuring you have a legitimate, pre-existing business relationship with the email recipients.

2. Acceptable use

You may use Chaser only for lawful invoice follow-up with genuine clients. You may not use Chaser to:

  • Send unsolicited or spam email
  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate recipients
  • Pursue fraudulent, fabricated, or disputed debts
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission

Misuse will result in immediate account suspension without refund.

3. Subscriptions and payments

Chaser is available on a free tier (up to 3 active invoices) and a Pro subscription billed monthly. By subscribing to Pro:

  • You authorise recurring monthly charges to your payment method
  • You can cancel at any time from your Account page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds are issued for partial months
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice

We use Stripe for payment processing. Your full card number never touches our servers.

4. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for:

  • Missed or delayed invoice follow-ups due to outages
  • Email deliverability issues outside our control (spam filters, recipient server downtime)
  • Actions taken or not taken by your clients in response to automated emails

5. Intellectual property

Chaser and its software, branding, email templates, and content are owned by the Chaser team. You retain ownership of your invoice data. By using the Service you grant us a limited licence to store and process your data solely to provide the Service.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chaser and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost revenue or failed debt recovery, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

7. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or non-payment. Upon termination, your data may be deleted after 30 days unless required to be retained by law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated by email or via the in-app notification banner. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Data & privacy

See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.
